PRIVACY RIGHTS NOTICE FOR PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEES WHO RESIDE IN CALIFORNIA

This Privacy Notice (the “Notice”) supplements the information contained in the Privacy Statement of SHI International Corp. and its affiliates’ (“SHI”, “us”, or “we”) (available at https://www.shi.com/CustomerServices/SHIInfo.aspx?ContentId=22), and applies solely to prospective employees of SHI who reside in the state of California (each a “Resident and collectively “Residents”). Under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), SHI is required to inform Residents about the categories of information collected on them and the purposes for which they are collected. SHI has adopted this Notice to comply with the CCPA. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this Notice.
Resident Personal Information Collected, Used and Disclosed by SHI
SHI collects information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular Resident (“personal information”). In particular, within the last twelve (12) months SHI has collected from Residents the categories of personal information identified with the word “YES” in the following chart:

SHI obtains the above categories of Personal Information from the following categories of sources:
- Directly from Residents or their agents. For example, through information SHI compiles about Residents when reviewing their application for employment.
- From third parties that interact with SHI in connection with its operations, such as third parties that assist SHI with recruitment functions.
Use or Disclosure of Personal Information
We use and disclose the personal information we collect for our business purposes. These business purposes include, without limitation:
- Processing, evaluating, and communicating with you about your application, including to check references or your background, and communicate with you about other jobs that may interest you.
- Other business purposes as identified in the CCPA, which include:
- Auditing related to our interactions with you;
- Legal compliance;
- Detecting and protecting against security incidents, fraud, and illegal activity;
- Performing services (for us or our service provider) such as account servicing, processing orders and payments, and analytics;
- Internal research for technological improvement;
- Internal operations;
- Activities to maintain and improve our business; and
- Other one-time uses.
To carry out the purposes outlined above, SHI may share information with third parties, such as third-party human resources, outside legal counsel, or state or federal governmental agencies. If SHI wishes to add to the purposes for which your personal information is collected, your consent is required. We do not sell the personal information discussed in this Notice.
Other Interactions with SHI
We may collect information about you that is unrelated to your application for employment with us, for example, if you are also a business customer of SHI. More information about our privacy practices can be found in our Privacy Policy on our website.
