Job Summary

SHI has an exciting opportunity in our Strategic Partners, Cloud Department. The Microsoft Inside Account Manager role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of our Microsoft Public Sector customers. This role will work in conjunction with our Microsoft LE’s and CSM’s to provide customers with a new and streamlined approach in supporting all aspects of the Agreement lifecycle. The Inside Account Manager will play a critical role in providing our current and future customers with a world-class support experience. 

 

The Microsoft Inside Account Manager’s success is measured by their ability to provide high quality services, improving customer interactions, effective utilization of resources and adaptation of new policies, procedures and technologies that increase efficiency. An account manager actively contributes to SHI’s overall success targets as well as building relationships with Customer Success Managers, Microsoft, and internal SHI resources.

 

This role will report to the Strategic Partners - Cloud department and report to the Somerset, NJ office location.

Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to: 

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, email, or chats with customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Handle quote inquiries from customers, Microsoft, and internal SHI teams
  • Process customer POs in AX
  • Engage and assist in resolution of Microsoft and customer escalations
  • Support/Execute on various initiatives designed to increase efficiencies both internally and externally
  • Participate in training activities to increase over knowledge of Microsoft licensing, products, and programs
  • Meet personal targets, work towards meeting team targets, and performance metrics as set by Management
  • Proactive engagement with customers, Microsoft, and other internal teams to ensure successful completion of key milestones, including renewals, TU’s, and anniversary orders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum 5 years of customer service experience in a corporate or office setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Foundational Microsoft licensing knowledge preferred

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimally, a foundational knowledge of Microsoft licensing is preferred

Certifications Required

  • Microsoft Certifications must be maintained during employment and is required to be obtained within 6 months of hire 

Unique Requirements

  • Extended hours may be required to complete some special projects and quarter end workload 

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $55,000 - $100,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
