    Job Summary

    SHI (UK) has an exciting opportunity in our department for an Apple Presales Systems Engineer. This individual will support the SHI (UK) sales force in determining the appropriate Apple and Mobility solution for our customers. This position involves assessing customer needs through email, phone, and in-person customer facing meetings and engagements. Duties include but are not limited to providing pre-sales technical support, mobility solution design and development of deployment tools and technologies.

    This position is required to report to the SHI UK Office.

    Responsibilities/Job Function

     

    • Expert on Apple’s partner vision, solutions, design and product features
    • Lead customer facing conference calls and on site meetings with SHI Sales Reps
    • Advise customers on design scenarios; latest partner product offerings, upgrade paths, product road maps, and industry best practices
    • Conduct product demonstrations to familiarize the customers with the product(s) involved in the proposed solution
    • Design Partner solutions and configure proposals around customer’s budget and environment restrictions
    • Stay current with new technologies and innovations and recommend adoption of new technologies
    • Participate in building out and delivering sales enablement for Partner solutions
    • Support creation of sales collateral and tools as required by the business
    • Assist with RFP responses as required
    • Represent SHI at relevant Partner events
    • Create and present developed solutions to solutions specialists for resale.
    • Serve as trusted technology advisor and expert to clients and act as an internal resource on technical issues or specific business applications
    • Remain familiar with current hardware and software industry offerings from major vendors to help differentiate architectural designs and software functionality in order to drive solutions that meet customer requirements
    • Provide regular technical training for sales and marketing team members on new products and solutions when required

    Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required

    • BS degree or equivalent work experience.
    • A Partner Professional certification is required in any discipline (routing & switching, datacenter, security, etc.)
    • Depth and breadth of knowledge across IT estate
    • Candidate must have excellent verbal, written and communication skills to interface with customers at various levels up to CxO
    • Excellent presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Strong design using industry standard tooling e.g. Visio or equivalent
    • Self-study and independent work style to increase job related knowledge and skills
    • Knowledge and experience with Apple products and operating systems end to end
    • Detail oriented with the ability to translate often vague customer requirements into fit for purpose, cost effective solutions
    • 4 years of experience in a customer facing IT sales, pre-sales or technical role
    • Must possess one or more of the following certifications upon application:
      • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
      • Apple Certified Associate - Mac and iOS Integration
      • Apple Certified iOS Technician (ACiT)
    • Must possess the following certification within 6 months in role:
      • JAMF Pro 300
