Job Summary

The IT Program Manager will be responsible for supporting our internal Information Technology department's strategic initiatives. This role will serve as a consultative partner for our internal stakeholders, focusing on understanding their goals prioritizing and governing the engagement of IT to drive effective business outcomes. The IT Program Manager will lead in developing and driving best practices to improve programs and business performance, focusing on aligning strategy, structure, process, budget, engagement, return on investment, and resource allocation.

 

This position is required to report in to the SHI Leadership team Austin, TX, and be located in either the Austin, TX, or Somerset, NJ, office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

Included but not limited to:

  • Lead and manage critical strategic initiatives within the Information Technology Department.
  • Identify strategic initiatives that will drive department alignment focused on people and processes. 
  • Support enterprise business planning for strategic IT roadmap and program governance.
  • Oversee collaboration with strategic partners and vendors supporting engagements. 
  • Effectively communicate and manage program expectations to resources and stakeholders.
  • Explore new strategic opportunities by analyzing gaps and creating processes to address challenges.
  • Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in program management, project management, and IT processes. 
  • Manage continuous improvements, including:
    • Process/ Gap Analysis
    • Improvement Planning
    • Change Management 
    • Cost Management
    • Roadmap Planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or relevant work experience required
  • 7+ years in managing programs and/or projects within an enterprise level organization.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Information Technology programs and iniatives. 
  • 5+ years of experience in relationship building/ cross-team collaboration with project teams, business partners, stakeholders, and executive leadership.

Required Skills

  • Ability to efficiently create presentations, graphics, and org-wide communications.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal management follow up/direction.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal teams and partners.
  • Elite problem-solving and conflict-management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, project management, and IT Operations.
  • Written and verbal communication (clear, concise, and courteous).
  • Ability to efficiently work with executives and internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively able to translate goals and strategies into business solutions

Unique Requirements

  • PMP Preferred
  • Travel as determined by SHI management. 

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $170,000 which consists of a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
