Job Summary

The Contract Obligation & Strategy Analyst works closely with SHI Salesforce and internal departments in supporting the management of SHI’s strategic Public Sector contracts. The Contract Obligation & Strategy Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating contract performance, managing projects, and providing strategic recommendations in support of these contracts.  

 

The Contract Obligation & Strategy Analyst will report to the Director of Public Sector Contract Compliance.  This role is required to report to the SHI Somerset, NJ location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assist with the development and implementation of contract management strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements in contract operations to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales, operations, legal, and SHI leadership to ensure smooth contract operations.
  • Analyze and track the performance of existing contracts using a Contract Lifecycle Management tool.
  • Gather, organize, and manage contract-related data for analysis. This could involve maintaining a database of contract details, terms, and performance metrics.
  • Identify and anticipate potential operational risks within Request for Proposals (RFPs) and contracts, then develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Support negotiation processes by providing data-driven insights, aligning with operational standards, and offering recommendations.
  • Document and present information regarding the capabilities of SHI standard processes, tools, and teams.
  • Professional presence in all levels of communication.
  • Collaborate and contribute during the Request for Proposal process on strategic contract opportunities including the presentation of operational requirements, providing strategic recommendations, communicating with various internal SHI departments, monitoring operational action items, and reviewing drafts.
  • Manage internal and external contract audit processes from initial investigation through to resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
  • At least 1 year business experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Teams
  • Familiarity with contract terms and conditions

  • Ability to be proficient in time management and prioritization of multiple tasks

  • Comfortable with reading contracts and proposals
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable with presenting and leading discussions with internal SHI teams.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Familiar with Public Sector structure and the proposal-to-contract process
  • Passion for strategic and persuasive writing

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $45,000 - $95,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
