Job Summary

The Partner Products Solutions and Services group at SHI has an exciting opportunity for a Networking Sr. Partner Specialist. A Networking Senior Specialist focuses on proactively fostering relationships with our strategic partners to manage the pipeline, grow and maintain the business and assist Sales in supporting our customer’s technology needs.  This position will provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to Partner Specialists, as well as various other departments and represent the company at industry and partner related events. This position will serve as subject matter expert on product lines including latest technology, pricing programs and various Original Equipment Manufacture OEM solutions. The Networking Sr. Partner Specialist will be a resource for SHI's salesforce, ensuring that customers are receiving the best solution to meet their needs. This position supports all SHI sales organizations and divisions. Applicants should be interested in working in a team environment to support SHI’s Inside and Outside Sales reps in their efforts to market, position and sell these products.

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership by providing guidance, mentorship, and training to the team especially Partner Specialists
  • Assist Sales by providing product support, program information, configurations, and competitive advantages on deals
  • Support our sales organizations and partner account managers to maintain and grow the business by acting as a subject matter expert and supporting all company and partner support needs
  • Promote and Evangelize the Partner Brand within the company by acting as a brand ambassador and subject matter expert by providing sales training, engaging with customers and providing trainings
  • Drive key company and Partner initiatives based on company priorities and commitment
  • Represent our company at Industry and/or Partner events including trainings, meetings and conferences
  • Maintain Partner Certifications
  • Account Mapping
  • Increase the account penetration and pipeline of the Networking Manufacturer
  • Improve relationships with sales and technical teams about the Networking manufacturer
  • Facilitate deal registration process for Networking manufacturers
  • Develop pricing strategies based on an understanding of partner programs and promotions
  • Manage SHI’s pipelines for Networking manufacturers
  • Work with other manufacturer teams to identify opportunities for SHI sales reps to position your Networking manufacturers
  • Assist in closing business with SHI sales reps
  • Work with sales team to deliver customer calls/presentations
  • Review upcoming renewals, identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities, and notify sales
  • Align with the Marketing departments to implement successful marketing activities
  • Post and maintain partner-related content on MySHI
  • Proactively work to develop and foster relationships between OEM partners and SHI sales reps
  • Help acquire and develop new partnerships and authorizations within Networking
  • Provide excellent support to both customers and the SHI sales organization
  • Cross coverage support will be required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
  • Minimum 3 years in Hardware Partner support and ability to meet job responsibilities of Senior Specialist 
  • Excellent documented performance

  • Ability to keep current on product knowledge and industry trends and technology
  • Able to support our sales organizations and our partner account managers with maintaining and growing the business
  • Ability to coordinate sales education on Partner(s) products and programs

Certifications Required

  • Certification will be required based on compliance to Partner marketing program.  Course and deadlines are determined by the Partner.

Unique Requirements

  • Position may require 5% of travel for trainings, conferences or other activities

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $75,000 - $125,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
