Job Summary

The IDCS Business Supply Chain - Intern will assist the team in overseeing the ordering and supply chain management aspects of projects related to Integration Services. This role will have a primary focus on complex datacenter projects and device roll-outs to our company’s customers.

 

This position will report to the Somerset, NJ office location however may be required to report into the Ridge Integration Center as required for business needs as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

Includes but not limited to

  • Will assist the team in monitoring customer inventory to ensure appropriate levels at all times
  • Will assist the team in reviewing project forecasts and timelines to ensure all parties are accounting for equipment lead times and logistics
  • Request inventory to meet project requirements
  • Coordinate supply chain status updates between internal resources, partners, vendors, and customers to ensure accurate ETAs and Inventory Levels
  • Will assist the team in creating and improve processes related to the role on an as needed basis in an effort of continuous improvement
  • Make recommendations for business process improvements to other departments where
  • Appropriate under the guidance of the team
  • Update relevant parties with order status, delivery and receipt confirmations
  • Investigate and resolve order issues
  • Monitor and maintain service level agreement requirements
  • Will assist the team in managing aging inventory reporting to minimize fees accounting for project schedules, payment terms, and other financial and logistical factors
  • Identify and complete special requests from multiple internal teams

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in good academic standing working towards a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Ability to work with sales teams to help coordinate a resolution to order issues
  • Strong attention to detail, including time and task management skills

Preferred Skills/Qualification:

  • Basic PC knowledge
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, MS Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous experience managing ongoing programs

Unique Requirements

  • The intern selected will be required to work 29 hours a week over a specified 12-week duration.  

Additional Information

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $16.00/Hr.
