Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and organized Marketing & Event Coordinator Intern to join our team at SHI. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event coordination, visitor management, and marketing support within a dynamic and innovative environment. As a Marketing Intern, you will assist in various tasks that contribute to the successful execution of executive briefings, workshops, summits, and meetings. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in marketing and event management. 

 This position will report to the Somerset, NJ office location

Responsibilities

Includes but not limited to

 

  • Assist with the scheduling and coordination of AI Labs, CIC, DCF, and EIC Integration Tours. 
  • Greet and assist all visitors to the SHI Executive Briefing Center in a professional and friendly manner. 
  • Support the EBC Receptionist with visitor badging and Wi-Fi access for all Executive Briefing Center guests. 
  • Help schedule smaller internal meetings at the Executive Briefing Center. 
  • Contribute to June Summit preparations by sorting swag, assisting with snacks, and coordinating other catering needs. 
  • Assist with logistics for the Global Workshop, including transportation arrangements, luggage tagging, and snack provision.
  • Support the Marketing Training Summit with tasks such as swag distribution, registration management, and catering coordination. 
  • Aid in preparations for the ITAM meeting with various support tasks. 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in good academic standing working towards a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field. 

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 
  • Basic understanding of marketing concepts and event management. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to work both individually and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and demands. 
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and address issues. 

Unique Requirements

  • The intern selected will be required to work a maximum of 29 hours a week over a specified 12-week duration. 

Additional Information

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $16.00/Hr.
