Job Summary

The Manager of Strategic Cisco Sales will lead a team of Business Sales Executives (BSE). The manager will collaborate with Cisco and our organizations leadership to execute successful campaigns and programs. The Manager will develop strong relationships with Sales Management, to enable the BSE team to increase Cisco revenue, gross margin & market share. The Manager will help increase pipeline and assist in closing out opportunities.

 

This position will be reporting to either the SHI Austin, TX or Somerset NJ office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Lead the team with effective strategies and actionable insights to optimize sales performance.
  • Support the execution of business plans agreed upon by our organization and Cisco Sales Leadership
  • Identify skill gaps and arrange expert-led sessions or personally conduct training to enhance team performance.
  • Analyze sales trends to determine target accounts and create execution plan
  • Align with key SHI-Cisco stakeholders to create a unified go-to-market strategy
  • Act as an escalation point for issues to ensure effective & long-term problem resolution
  • Attend customer and partner visits
  • Actively monitor and report on the team’s KPIs and development.
  • Facilitate strong alignment with Cisco and SHI Sales teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years outside sales experience or channel facing Business Development role or Business Sales Executive experience
  • Minimum 3 years of presales experience in a customer facing position or 3 years’ experience supporting a partner and 2 years demonstrated experience growing new business
  • Working knowledge of Cisco product lines (Datacenter, Collaboration, Security, Enterprise Networking, and Smartnet)
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience

  • Experience in leading and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with BI and CRM systems.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills about SHI's offerings and values.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Capable of teaching teams about new products and promotions.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and develop actionable plans.
  • Provide sound advice on establishing relationships and increasing Cisco profitability.
  • Skilled in developing and executing strategic plans.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous Sales Management experience
  • Creative approach to overcoming challenges and achieving objectives
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW) 

Unique Requirements

  • Ability to travel to partner conferences/events and customer visits up to 25%

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
