Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist III is an advanced role on the Talent Acquisition team for Specialists who are driven, growth-focused, self-motivated and have the ability to provide/support of the organization's staffing needs. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing candidates from both conventional and unconventional resources to staff various roles.

 

This position reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager and will be required to report to the SHI office location in Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ.

Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to:

  • Networking via phone, social networking sites, outside/inside sources, associations, trade groups and coworkers for active and passive candidates. 
  • Contacting candidates from resume searches 
  • Develop and maintain networks of both active and passive candidates. 
  • Exceptional understanding of sourcing practices, including search engines, Boolean strings, and Proactive sourcing of candidates using job boards and/or social media platforms 
  • Build strong, productive relationships with hiring managers to maintain an ongoing understanding of current and future hiring needs.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement innovative strategies and tactics to effectively drive recruiting efforts. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert on recruiting best practices while continually evaluating the external marketplace to maintain an ongoing awareness of competitive practices and leverage best practice methods and process improvements 
  • Screening candidates, scheduling candidates for interviews, conducting reference/background checks, developing offer packages, negotiating and extending offers to candidates
  • Assists with onsite events and career fairs locally and nationally
  • Support other functions related to the recruitment and hiring process. 
  • Maintain organized records of candidates and resumes. 
  • Provide day-to-day operational guidance to the team and manager. 
  • Professionally handle and maintain confidential information as it relates to the overall hiring and onboarding process.
  • Understand agreements/contracts (non-solicitation/non-compete) relating to employment
  • Maintains a higher than average req load with quicker than average time to fill stats

Qualifications

  • University/Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of strong sourcing/recruitment experience gained within a corporate setting or agency
  • Recruiting /sourcing subject matter expert with a proven track record of direct sourcing
  • Proficiency using an applicant tracking system (Workday preferred)

  • Ability to develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with SHI management 
  • Experience using creative sourcing techniques, with the ability to build and maintain a network of top-tier talent 
  • Ability to handle and remain confident in a high pace/quick turnaround environment 
  • Proven ability to deliver against the following metrics: time-to-fill, retention, number of positions filled, and diversity of candidate slates 
  • Superior at selling value propositions, negotiating and closing skills, and navigating complex offers 
  • Skilled in business acumen with experience partnering with business leaders to assess talent needs and develop talent strategies 
  • Ability to provide coaching and guidance to hiring managers to keep the recruiting process compliant and effective 
  • High-level organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and complete tasks with efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Ability to handle confidential information daily 
  • Must be an excellent judge of character 

Unique Requirements

  • Travel to Career Fairs, Hiring Events and other approved conferences as needed up to 10%

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
