Job Summary

The Business Development Manager for PPSS is a strategic role focused on vendor management and identifying new business opportunities for the sales teams. This position focuses on fostering effective partnerships, ensuring alignment with SHI's strategic goals, and driving growth through collaboration and partner engagement. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of industry drivers, technology solutions, and customer needs to align offerings effectively. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with sales teams and develop account-specific plans to support the practice area's go-to-market initiatives.

 

This position is based in Paris and reports to the International Marketing & Vendor Manager for France.

Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

 

Sales Support and Growth:

  • Develop overall business growth for brands in
  • Actively support sales teams in identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.
  • Assist Sales Reps with product support, program information and competitive advantages.
  • Increase awareness of brands programs within the company’s sales organisation.
  • Coordinate sales training sessions, account mapping sessions, call-out days and presentations delivered by vendors to sales teams.

Vendor Management and Planning:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and alignment with partners to ensure mutual success and strategic alignment.
  • Work closely with the brands to align on sales goals and initiatives.
  • Proactively work to develop and foster relationships between Vendors and Sellers.
  • Work closely with the vendors to align on sales goals and initiatives.
  • Planning of partners and distributors visits to our HQ.
  • Establish business and marketing plans and deliver marketing actions with vendors.
  • Manage and negotiate marketing budgets (activities registration, claim of activities, invoicing of MDF budgets).
  • Monitor sales rebates.

Industry and Solution Expertise:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, solutions, and IT market evolution.
  • Align solutions with customer needs and focus partners to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

Go-to-Market Initiatives:

  • Support go-to-market efforts by collaborating on discovery and outreach initiatives to identify and qualify leads and opportunities.
  • Create strategic programs, spiffs, blitz, etc.
  • Organize customer events and digital communication campaigns with vendors.
  • Plan and execute internal events (sales kick-off; SHI’s annual events, etc.).
  • Follow- up of business and marketing activities with vendors.
  • Analyse sales metrics.

Lead Generation :

  • Independently create activities such as leads campaigns and/or digital brands campaigns, to generate pipeline and opportunities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor opportunities and deals.

Certifications and Professional Development:

  • Maintain certifications and accreditations required by vendors to uphold partners status of SHI France.
  • Potentially obtain relevant certifications when identified and required to support company partner accreditation status.

SHI Representation:

  • Serve as the face of SHI, representing the company to leadership and at industry events.
  • Foster strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to drive mutual success.

Adherence to PPSS Pillars:

  • Execute responsibilities while adhering to the five PPSS Pillars.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Marketing or in a BDM position
  • University Degree and equivalent

 

Required Skills

  • Fluency in French and English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Additional Information

  • Hybrid position based in Issy-les-Moulineaux 3 days per week in the office
