    Job Summary

    SHI International Corporation has an exciting opportunity in our Enterprise Division as an Integration Quality Control Technician. We are looking for a successful, driven individual, with a strong interest in datacenter integration. 
    The Integration Quality Control Technician is responsible for reviewing all rack builds and confirming that they meet the customer elevation requirements and are configured per integration specifics. The Integration Quality Control Technician will support all facets of the quality control process, under the direction of the Quality Control Manager.

    Responsibilities/Job Function

     Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
     

    • Review customer Integration Documentation and decipher configuration specifics, such as port / slot layout and connectivity diagrams.
    • Review the physical rack detail and confirm that it matches the customer elevation diagram.
    • Confirm that the rack components are stacked in the order that the customer RU position dictates and be able to spot rack build errors and fix errors before target deadlines.
    • Confirm that every label on every cable matches the customer labeling configuration specifics, including font, spacing and naming conventions.
    • Confirm that the team completed power redundancy failover testing.
    • Confirm that the team completed all custom configuration specifics, such as BIOS checks, MAC captures, DHCP configuration, and array controller configuration settings.
    • Confirm that all data captured is in the template and format that the customer requested.
    • Review hardware verification and log output captured by automation process.
    • Review all Photo QA documentation and request photo retakes if necessary. Once the Photo QA documentation is acceptable, forward the files to the Quality Control Manager before final customer review.
    • Candidate may be required to take detailed photos of the rack builds that will be sent to the customer for review and ship approval.
    • Ensure all internal build documentation is accurate and coherent.
    • Review hardware verification and log output captured by automation process.
    • Work closely with the Quality Control Manager in helping to design, implement, and maintain team standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes, and have an overall working knowledge of how to edit and improve these processes.
    • Work with Technical Manager to streamline build processes, as well as manual and automated hardware verification for all projects.

    Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required

    Minimum of  2-3 Years of experience required in the following areas:

    • Experience with network and server configuration.
    • People problem solving skills.
    • Ability to interface with customers and to process and relay technical detail.
    • Ability to work under tight time constraints and meet strict deadlines.
    • Technical problem solving skills.
    • Must always work with meticulous attention to detail and will be required to work onsite in the configuration center.
    • Should have a strong command of MS Office products

    Minimum of  1-2 years of experience required in the following areas:

    • Ability to configure/troubleshoot and integrate multiple hardware vendor devices including but not limited to Lenovo, IBM, HP, Dell, FireEye and Acme Packet.
    • Ability to upgrade firmware, configure network settings, and configure other settings as required by customer across multiple vendor hardware.
    • Ability to review current QC processes and facilitate efficiencies (we need to build/move more racks through QC faster – create automation where possible).
    • Possess organizational skills.
    • Ability to work with several teams and manage multiple rack integration projects that are running simultaneously
    • Must be able to produce excellent results (rack built to customer specifications) with 100% accuracy under accelerated time frames.
    • Ability to review technical documentation, including VISIO diagrams and be able to transfer that logical information to a physical build.

    Minimum of  1 year of experience required in the following areas:

    • Ability to review/decipher integration documentation technical detail
    • Ability to review all Quality Control processes and create QC documentation, as defined by customer

    Well qualified candidates will possess:

    • Knowledge of configuration and SHI warehouse processes.
    • Knowledge of servers, storage, networking.
    • Knowledge of AX, specifically as it relates to config check in / check out – order processing.
    • Knowledge of SharePoint.
    • Integration Center Experience.
