    Job Summary

    In support of our expanding UK sales force the Microsoft Advisor will be the first point of contact for our commercial sales division for Microsoft assistance. Working within the Microsoft EMEA Team, this role requires a strong well-rounded understanding of Microsoft products, licensing and volume licensing programs. With an excellent knowledge of SHI and Microsoft’s systems, tools and processes you will work alongside the aligned Licensing Executive to address all Microsoft related queries.


    This position will be required to report to the SHI UK Milton Keynes office location.

    Responsibilities/Job Function

    Primary Responsibilities (to include but are not limited to the following):

    • Act as internal Commercial Team Sales Support working alongside the LE as a main point of contact covering Microsoft licensing and operational requirements
    • Support in basic opportunity identification, upsell/cross sell
    • Main point of contact for volume license program questions
    • Contract paperwork creation, review and submission
    • Product selection guidance
    • Quoting/Price list assistance & training
    • T-36 support and guidance including True Up monitoring, and requirements
    • Support the LE and Account Executive in executing on time renewals and true ups for existing customers
    • Provide Account Execs with basic to intermediate Licensing Support
    • Awareness of and signposting to other key business areas; Advanced Solutions, ITAM, Professional Services, Mobility etc.
    • Main point of contact between SHI Commercial Team and Microsoft Support Teams – query logging & escalation
    • Support LE in education of sales teams on Microsoft Programs and best practices to maximize understanding of sales messages to drive increased Microsoft revenue
    • Active participation in support of call out days
    • Opportunity management and reporting as required by management
    • Support and work with the wider MSEMEA Team when required
    • Support on Customer Calls alongside LE as required
    • Support at Customer Meetings alongside LE as required
    • Continually engage in live and self-paced training to expand and strengthen product, licensing, program and services knowledge

    Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required

    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products, solutions, and volume licensing programs.
    • Strong process and operational knowledge
    • Strong base licensing knowledge.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft tools; Explore.ms, MVLC, VLSC
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, high workload environment.
    • Ability to work effectively within a virtual team environment
    • The ability to convey complex themes in an easy to understand manner




    Microsoft MCP qualification (Licensing/SAM) or ability to attain within 6 months in role
