    Job Summary

    SHI has an exciting opportunity available as an Inside Sales Microsoft Licensing Advisor.  The Microsoft Advisor will be responsible for assisting Inside & Outside Sales with the management of their Microsoft business, focusing on the Public Sector Business Unit. 


    This position is required to report to the SHI HQ 290 office location in Somerset, NJ. 

    Responsibilities/Job Function

    Include, but are not limited to:

    • Training Enterprise Inside Sales & SM SLED sales representatives within a specified region on proper quoting for Microsoft, specifically around EA & EES requests
    • Advising Sales teams on proper engagement of various Microsoft teams & resources
    • Assisting Sales teams with O365 and Azure product and use questions
    • Proactively managing renewal, true up and add on processes, including annual true ups
    • Completing and managing all paperwork to and from customer for new agreements and renewals
    • Collaborating with Sales and the Microsoft Teams to receive necessary customer amendments and/or price sheets
    • Managing large Microsoft Select Plus SA renewals
    • Working with AEs to help convert existing customers to an Enterprise Agreement, as needed
    • Working closely with internal and external Microsoft teams to learn about changes and new developments within Microsoft that may impact sales
    • Effectively communicating out any changes or new developments to assigned sales teams with expectations of how to handle and/or trainings that will be available

    Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Some Microsoft program knowledge
    • Ability to learn fast and absorb knowledge on a daily basis
    • Strong planning and organization skills
    • Possess an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude about Sales, and Microsoft
    • Excellent presentation skills. Candidate should possess not only public speaking skills but should enjoy working with (and in front of) large groups of people. Candidates may be required to demonstrate presentation skills as part of the interview process.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Candidates may be asked to provide writing samples as part of the interview process.
    • Self-motivated, eager to learn and willing to provide guidance/training on Microsoft engagement and programs
    • Proficiency in the following applications/platforms:
    • Office 2010, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Office 2013 applications are a plus
    • Windows 7
    • Windows 10 experience is a plus


    Preferred Skills:

    • EA, EES, MPSA & Select plus Agreement knowledge is a plus
    • Well rounded working knowledge of the following tools and applications: Microsoft Dynamics AX, BI, CRM, SharePoint, and Sales Center
    • Ability to clearly communicate and effectively work well with internal Sales and Microsoft teams
    • Experience conducting online meetings & conference calls using Microsoft Live Meeting 2007 / Lync 2010, or other web conferencing platform
