    Job Summary

    SHI has a dynamic career opportunity in our Outside Sales-Strategic Enterprise department supporting some of our largest customers in the Communications & Banking industry. 


    If you are looking for a challenging and financially rewarding career in sales, the Business Development Manager (BDM) position might be of interest to you. This position plays an integral part in growing our Strategic Accounts at SHI. Our BDMs are able to offer in-depth customer technology solutions across a wide variety of IT products and services to new and existing customers, and grow partner relationships.


    This position is required to report to the SHI Milton Keynes, UK office location. 

    Responsibilities/Job Function

    The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Provide consultation to customers regarding their IT solutions needs to uncover new sales opportunities
    • Proactively work with and contact customers and prospects to build SHI’s market share in all accounts designated
    • Understanding of and ability to effectively communicate and develop demand for SHI Services including configuration services, warranty services, disposal services, etc.
    • Develop partnerships with Vendor Field Sales Representatives and optimize the joint selling opportunities within the territory
    • Build market awareness of SHI through participation in local/regional industry events, organizations and affiliations
    • Develop solid business relationships within the various decision-makers and influencers at all levels at each target account
    • Regular onsite customer visits will be required, so must be available to travel regularly to visit various customer sites throughout EMEA
    • Understand each target customer’s business model, map their organization and identify their unique technology needs
    • Develop, document and execute account sales plans for assigned target accounts
    • Build customer loyalty & trust
    • Meeting sales goal targets (Revenue & GM)

    Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required

    • Prior experience with IT hardware, software and/or service sales
    • Strong organizational and planning skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Excellent presentation skills



    • Technical sales experience and/or technical certifications is a plus

    Preferred Skills:

    • Knowledge of/familiarity with Communications or Banking industry is a plus
    • Experience selling to upper management/executive level is a plus
