  • Job Summary

    SHI has an exciting opportunity available in our Corp Advanced Solutions department as a Director of Security SE team. We are looking for a Technical Sales Director that is customer, partner and SHI facing to build and manage the team of SHI Corp Security SE’s.


    Responsibilities/Job Function

    Include but not limited to:

    • Focus on development of security architecture sales through development and coaching of solutions engineers
    • Attract, develop and retain top talent
    • Executing on the SHI vision and mission
    • Maintain and oversee security sales goals
    • Pipeline management
    • Account profiling and penetration of multiple Solution Practices in existing accounts
    • Execute SHI Sales Methodology and strategy with direct reports, sales counterparts, partners and customers with Sales
    • Interfaces with multiple layers of contacts within an organization, including but not limited to CIO, CTO, IT Directors, Application Managers, etc.
    • Responsible for driving the sales process of the solution, including identifying the opportunity, qualifying, forecasting, decision-making criteria, and closing
    • Develops the team based on strategic account planning by collaborating with sales leadership and extended ASG team
    • Executes on recommending comprehensive solutions which achieve customer expectations and meet customer business needs and planning
    • Builds deep relationships and trust with customers, partners, and SHI employees and owns the technical side of solution development for the practice
    • Focus on delivering a world-class customer experience by executing on the SHI vision and mission statement
    • Interacts with Local Technology Community (MFG’s and SI Partners) and the appropriate customer technical personnel to establish market credibility and ensure the sales team understands the customer's on-going enterprise needs.
    • Strategic training and positioning of SHI Solution Practice
    • Security sales-cycle management through business intelligence and CRM tools
    • Engages with teams ensuring value prop, resource usage, opportunity development and visibility to general business (Corp / District / Region)
    • Coach and develop solutions engineers & managers
    • Stay current on new technology, trends and market behavior
    • Travel as required by business needs and SHI management

    Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required

    • Minimum of 10+ years of experience managing a Technical Engineering team
    • Consultative approach with expert understanding of how security technology enables business success
    • Previous experience building technical sales teams
    • Experience working in complex enterprise network architecture sales opportunities
    • Advanced knowledge of enterprise security architectures and their business impact
    • Deep understanding and experience working with enterprise technology organizations (Cisco/Meraki, Palo Alto, etc.) and knowledge of IT competitive landscape
    • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Visio/PPT and delivering customer proposals
    • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools
    • Ability and desire to work within a team environment, and at times independently
    • Experience with development and coaching
    • 4 year completed college degree
    • Ability to travel as required by business needs and SHI management
    • Strong sales and communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Highly organized with process driven mentality with a passion for technology
